Adding WhatsApp Cloud Channel

You can now connect your WhatsApp number to your workspace and start sending and receiving messages.

You will need to have a verified Meta business account, an approved WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), and an approved phone number connected to the WABA. Start by following these steps:

1. Create Meta Business manager

If you don't already have one, create a Meta Business Suite (previously Facebook Business Suite) account.

2. Verify your Meta business manager

Next, verify your account by following the steps in this guide.

This process might take a few days, but once you have submitted, you’ll receive a notification when it is complete. You can also check your status in the Security Center found in your business settings.

Once these steps are complete, you are ready to connect the WhatsApp Cloud to your workspace.

3. Create a WhatsApp Business Account and phone number

You will create a WABA and add a phone number using the steps in this guide.

4. Request Beta Access

Contact our support team to add you to the Beta group, which will give further access to your account to add the channel.

5. Integrating the channel

Click here to to claim the channel and scroll down to find "WhatsApp Cloud":

Then click "Add Facebook business" button:

A Facebook page will open:

Click "Get started" and follow the steps.

To start, select your Meta business manager from the drop-down:

Then click "Next"

The next step is to choose your approved WABA:

Then click "Next"

Lastly, after connecting the Meta business manager, you will be taken back to your workspace:

Click the number from there to connect the channel.
