Creating a Keyword Trigger that Allows People to Join a Group
Use this trigger to add contacts to a group. This trigger is useful for managing contacts that unsubscribe using the common opt-out keywords "stop" or "unsubscribe."
To create a keyword trigger that adds contacts to a group:
Navigate to the "Triggers" tab, then click the "Create Trigger" box.
Click the "Create an SMS that allows people to join a group" option.
Enter your keyword, then choose the group you'd like your contacts to join.
Optional: You can also choose to trigger a flow or send a single message.
In the example below, we've set the keyword trigger "Register" to place contacts in the "Customers" group and start the "Customer Registration" flow.
