# Labeling Messages

We allow you to add labels to classify responses. This makes it easier to organize your messages and sort through them when [exported from the platform](/en/article/exporting-flow-results-1w8oy1u/). Note that you may also [label messages within a workflow](/en/article/adding-labels-to-responses-1qq1lka/).

To label your messages:  

1. Click the **Messages** tab.  
  
2. Click the menu icon ☰ on your right hand side.  
  
3. Click the **New Label** from the drop-down.

5. Give it a name.  
  
6. Once created, the label's folder will appear under labels

When a message is labelled, you will sit on the far left-side of the message
