# Starting a Flow in the Future or on a Schedule

Use this trigger to schedule a flow sometime in the future, or repeat it on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. 

To trigger a flow in the future or on a schedule: 

1. Navigate to the **Triggers** tab and click **New trigger**.

2. Click the "Start a flow in the future or on a schedule" option.

3. Choose the date and time the contacts will receive the flow. Note the [timezone](https://help.textit.com/en/article/managing-your-timezone-and-date-format-settings-19lxswv/) listed is set up in your workspace settings.

4. Optional: You can choose to repeat the flow on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

5. You can also select contacts or groups to [include or exclude.](https://help.textit.com/en/article/group-inclusion-exclusion-on-triggers-1uai2ih/)

6. Click "New Trigger" to save.

In the example below, we can see that on the 31st of each month, contacts who are members of the 'Newcustomers' group (but *not* members of the 'Happy patients' group!) will be started at 10:00 in the 'CustomerSurvey' flow.

Once created, the trigger is listed in our active triggers or the 'Scheduled' folder for triggers:
