Sending Manual Messages to Contacts or Groups

There are two ways to send manual messages to your contacts, outside of flows.

  1. To send a message directly to a single contact, go to the contact's page. You can find them in the Contacts tab. The contact's page opens on the Chat window.

Write your message and press Enter on your keyboard to send it.

If the contact is in a flow, the chatbox has a green background and shows the flow they are in. To take the contact out of the flow, click the Interrupt button.

  1. To send to a single contact, multiple contacts, a group or several groups, go to the Messages tab, then click Broadcasts. The New Broadcast button is at the top right of your screen.

Click it to start the three-step process of sending the message.

  1. Select a contact, several contacts or a group of contacts. You can choose to send the message only to contacts who have sent you a message in the last 90 days (click the drop-down to adjust the time). Check the box Are not currently in a flow if you don't want to disturb contacts who are currently in a flow. Then click Next.

  2. Enter the message you would like to send. You can add attachments or quick replies. If you use Facebook or WhatsApp channels, add a Facebook topic or WhatsApp template so that contacts who haven't sent you a message in the last 24 hours still receive this message.

  1. Schedule when the message will be sent. You can send it right away or schedule it for later.

If you schedule it for later, you can also choose whether to repeat the message daily, weekly, monthly or yearly from the Repeat drop-down.

Click Create to finish.

Go to the Scheduled tab to see the message waiting to be sent. Click the pen icon at the far end of the row to edit the message, or the trash icon to deactivate it.

If you have questions, send us a message via the support widget in the bottom right corner.
